CONTEXT
Bill is a master tailor from the old guard of Holy Stitch! — the kind of maker who learned the work before anyone was calling it craft. He brought fabric from Japan. Others came from places that don't need to be named to be understood. Every panel in this pair traveled before it was cut. That travel is in the construction now. You can't remove it.
COMPOSITION
Cone deadstock denim anchors the build, brought in by Bill at precision weight. Patchwork panels are sourced from four continents and hand-cut — no panel is assigned, every one is chosen. Chain stitch and single needle construction hold the patchwork together with traditional structural integrity. Seams run exposed across every panel join — the joinery is the design, not hidden beneath it. One configuration exists. No second version will be cut from this layout.
STORY
Patchwork is not a technique here. It's a position. Houses sample a culture and call it homage — a print, a reference, a season. This is four real places sewn into one body by someone who isn't borrowing a story. Bill's fabric is in here. Remember that. The seams are the story. Read them in order. No house builds it this way, because no house has Bill, and no house is run by someone who'd rather sew the world together than sell you a version of it.
