CONTEXT
The embroidery exists for the days you don't have a smile of your own — or for stacking on top of the one you've already got. A '94 wide-leg repro came through the shop the way most projects do here: found, not hunted for. Every product made at this address is a classroom wearing the shape of a garment. This jean is no different — someone learned something building it, the same way someone always does.

STORY
Every piece that comes through this shop teaches somebody something, whether it's a $1,200 deadstock build or a $350 repro rework. This one's lesson was embroidery — the kind of repetition that only makes sense once your hands have done it enough times to stop thinking about it. The smile on it isn't decoration. It's a stand-in for the one you didn't bring with you that day.
